Inscription
Erected by Straid Masonic Lodge No276 in grateful and affectionate remembrance of Samuel Weatherup who died 27th January 1873 aged 73 years. "He died as a Christian dieth, A calm and a peaceful death, He boasted not his talent or worth, But Christ was his last drawn breath".
