Erected by Joice Boyd, Straid, in memory of her beloved husband James Boyd, who departed this life 16th Jany 1868 aged 53 years. The above-named Joice Boyd died 16th Feby 1877 aged 53 years. Also their son Wm. Andrew who died 17th April 1874 aged 6 years. Also their son James who died 16th Decr 1881 aged 33 years. Also their son Robert Dixon Boyd who died 17th April 1912 aged 65 years. And their son Thomas Boyd who died 18th April 1938 and Mary, wife of Thomas Boyd, died 8th June 1914.
