Inscription
Erected by James Barklie of Lismenary in memory of his uncle Jas. Barklie who departed this life in the year 1818 aged 68 years. And his wife Nancy Jamfrey who died in the year 1843 aged 84 years. And also of my own beloved wife Elizabeth Hay who died 15th July 1852 aged 59 years. Likewise the above-named James Barklie who died 8th July 1873 aged 89 years. Also his daughters Elia who died 31st July 1905 aged 71 years. And Isabella who died 10th July 1912 aged 75 years.
