Erected by Hugh Donaldson in memory of his grand-father Robert Donaldson who died 9th April 1887. His grand-mother Rose Donaldson who died 21st Feby 1894. His mother Elizabeth Donaldson who died 23rd June 1894. His two sisters who died young. His aunt Margaret Donaldson who died 21st Decr 1910 aged 73 years. His father John Donaldson who died 14th June 1922 aged 77 years. His aunt Anne Donaldson who died 12th Jany 1924 aged 84 years. The above-named Hugh Donaldson who died 27th Dec 1924 aged 37 years. His son James, (wee Bim), who died 23rd July 1925 aged 15 months. His uncle James Donaldson who died 15th Dec 1932 aged 84 years. Jenny (Jean) wife of Hugh, died 23rd Dec 1978.
